New cars don’t go on “sale” unless the new car dealer really needs to clear inventory.
The mark-up on new vehicles is very small, the dealer usually only makes a significat profit when there are rebates associated with the vehicle.
Anyone who is willing to purchase something that loses 10% of its value the minute you drive it off the lot shouldn’t be concerned with sales. IMHO

1On an ‘09(your best deal) & ‘10 12/26-12/31 would be your best dates because of taxes on inventory.

3Yes, they usually have sales towards the end of the year. My friend is also waiting until the end of the year to purchase his 2010 car.
