Will they be put into cold storage, like the Saturns and Titans were? Or maybe open them up for tours? Or just launch them and burn them up in the atmosphere? Or auction them off to the highest bidder? I dont know, that’s why im asking. im going to miss watching them in 2011.

1They’ll probably keep at least one of them on display at the Kennedy Space Center. The other’s will probably be put into storage. They keep all that stuff around in case they need to reuse some componenets. We’re planning our next mission to the moon right now, and we’re using some of the same technology from the old lunar landers of the Apollo program to design the new Aries spacecraft.

4My guess is that one will go to the Smithsonian. Maybe another will be open for tours. I know they offer tours in old submarines, but the shuttle might be a little cramped.
